About the Role
Serve as a first responder providing medical care to civilians after disasters and supporting Soldiers' health needs both on and off the battlefield.
Responsibilities
- Administer emergency medical treatment to casualties.
- Assist with outpatient and inpatient care.
- Instruct Soldiers in Combat Lifesaver/First Responder courses.
- Manage medical readiness, supplies, and equipment.
Requirements
- Enlistment in the Army National Guard.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Aged 17-35.
- Physically capable.
- Meet citizenship standards.
- Certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Caring nature.
- Interest in science.
- Ability to work under stress.
Training & Career Development
10 weeks of Basic Training and 16 weeks of Advanced Individual Training in patient care, with opportunities to learn advanced medical techniques.
