About the Role

Serve as a first responder providing medical care to civilians after disasters and supporting Soldiers' health needs both on and off the battlefield.

Responsibilities

  • Administer emergency medical treatment to casualties.
  • Assist with outpatient and inpatient care.
  • Instruct Soldiers in Combat Lifesaver/First Responder courses.
  • Manage medical readiness, supplies, and equipment.

Requirements

  • Enlistment in the Army National Guard.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Aged 17-35.
  • Physically capable.
  • Meet citizenship standards.
  • Certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong communication and attention to detail.
  • Caring nature.
  • Interest in science.
  • Ability to work under stress.

Training & Career Development

10 weeks of Basic Training and 16 weeks of Advanced Individual Training in patient care, with opportunities to learn advanced medical techniques.
