About the role
Primarily outpatient clinic-based in Boulder, Colorado, focused on addiction medicine.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnose, and manage medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders, including prescribing and monitoring medications like buprenorphine and naltrexone.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Educate patients on their condition and treatment process, and provide follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing or related field.
- Active license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- DEA registration.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience, including 0.5 years in addiction medicine.
- Knowledge of MAT protocols and regulations.
- Ability to administer injections.
