Job Title: Medical Supplier Job Description This role supports a busy multispecialty medical office by receiving, inspecting, organizing, stocking, and delivering medical supplies to clinical teams. You work alongside an experienced materials team, helping ensure nurses, doctors, medical assistants, and other clinical staff have the supplies they need to provide safe and efficient patient care. This is a temporary position providing coverage and support to the existing materials staff, with training and ongoing assistance available to help you learn the medical products and processes. Responsibilities Receive incoming medical supplies and materials, verify accuracy against documentation, and inspect items for damage or defects.Organize and stock shelves, cabinets, and storage areas to ensure medical supplies are accessible, clearly labeled, and properly arranged.Deliver medical supplies to clinical departments, including primary care, radiology, oncology/infusion, CT, and PET scanning, in a timely and professional manner.Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and check expiration dates to maintain appropriate supply levels and reduce waste.Support materials management activities such as inventory counts, restocking, and basic materials handling in a medical office environment.Communicate with nurses, doctors, medical assistants, and other clinical personnel to understand supply needs and respond to requests.Use basic Microsoft Outlook and email to receive instructions, confirm deliveries, and communicate with the materials team and clinical staff.Follow written and verbal instructions accurately when handling, storing, and distributing medical supplies.Ask questions when procedures or instructions are unclear to ensure safe and correct handling of materials.Work cooperatively with the materials team to lift and move heavier items, using teamwork for loads up to and around 50 pounds.Maintain a professional demeanor when working in patient care areas and around clinical personnel.Support the Middletown facility’s materials team during staff leave and vacations, providing reliable coverage and assistance.Adhere to established procedures and safety guidelines within the medical office and stockroom areas. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED.Basic Microsoft Outlook and email skills for communication and task coordination.Basic written and verbal communication skills to follow instructions and interact with clinical and materials staff.Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.Willingness to ask questions when unsure to ensure safe and correct performance of duties.Dependable and professional work habits, with a strong willingness to help and support the team.Ability to work appropriately and respectfully around patients and clinical personnel in a medical office setting.Ability to lift up to approximately 50 pounds, with teamwork available for heavier items.Comfort with materials handling, inventory tasks, and stocking shelves in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a medical or healthcare supply chain environment.Stockroom support or materials handling.Experience in supermarket or overnight stocking roles involving inventory rotation and shelf stocking.Experience rotating inventory or checking expiration dates to maintain product quality.Warehouse or materials handling experience, including organizing and moving goods.Shipping and receiving experience, including checking deliveries and organizing incoming materials.Familiarity with materials management processes and basic medical terminology is beneficial.Interest in learning about medical products and supplies, with a willingness to navigate a significant learning curve. Work Environment This role is based in a multispecialty medical office that includes primary care, radiology, oncology/infusion, CT, and PET scanning departments. You work on-site at the Middletown facility only, closely supporting the local materials team and clinical staff. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break, for a total of 37.5 paid hours per week. The materials team normally consists of three employees; you join as temporary support while one team member is on leave and the others have scheduled vacations, particularly during the first three weeks of September. The assignment is currently expected to be temporary, and permanent employment is not guaranteed, though future openings may become available if staffing needs change. The environment involves regular interaction with nurses, doctors, medical assistants, and patients, and there is a significant learning curve around medical products. Training and ongoing assistance are provided to help you become comfortable with the supplies, systems, and workflows. You can expect a professional clinical setting with stockroom and storage areas, routine movement throughout the facility to deliver supplies, and a team-oriented atmosphere where cooperation and clear communication are important. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Middletown, NY. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
