Job Summary

The College of St. Scholastica seeks qualified candidates for adjunct faculty positions in the Department of Healthcare Informatics and Information Management (HIIM).

Key Responsibilities

• Teach courses in areas qualified and/or knowledgeable.
• Courses may be assigned at the graduate or undergraduate level as appropriate and available.
• Create a learning and teaching environment for students in accordance with HIIM educational objectives and consistent with curriculum standards of the program accrediting agency.
• Create course text, syllabus, and other teaching materials to achieve course and program outcomes.
• Maintain published course contact hours and demonstrate commitment to the Department mission, goals, and objectives.

Job Qualifications

• Hold a Master’s degree or higher.
• Effective communication, initiative, and commitment to successful student learning.
• Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills, multicultural competency, and experience interacting effectively with diverse constituents.
• Previous teaching experience including in the classroom and/or online is desired.
• RHIA credential preferred.

Pay

• $1,020 per credit for undergraduate courses.
• $1,112 per credit for undergraduate courses after 40 credits are taught within a five-year period.
• $1,352 per credit for graduate courses.

Schedule

• Courses are assigned on a course by course basis as they become available either in the classroom or online.
