About the role
The Healthcare Director (HCD) will lead health and wellness activities and manage healthcare operations at Harmony at Hanover, a luxury senior living community in Illinois and Alabama. The position requires a current RN or LPN license, along with relevant training and experience.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates residents before move-in and conducts reevaluations as necessary.
- Develops and revises individualized service plans based on evaluations and resident preferences.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure care plans reflect residents' needs and promote safety and satisfaction.
- Manages medication programs, including overseeing technicians and delegating tasks within licensed practice limits.
- Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and ensures documentation meets all requirements.
- Serves as the infection preventionist, overseeing activities to prevent communicable illnesses.
- Monitors resident care and quality indicators, addressing trends through improvement plans.
- Builds and develops the resident care team through hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Works collaboratively with the Executive Director and Director of Sales and Marketing on business development.
Requirements
- Current RN or LPN license in accordance with State regulations.
- Completed State-required nursing training courses.
- Experience in assisted living, including experience delegating tasks and managing a team.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to apply nursing principles.
- 1-2 years’ experience required; 3+ years preferred.
- Supervisory/management experience is strongly preferred.
- CPR certification is required.
- Ability to work occasional weekends, off-shifts, and after-hours calls.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 pounds.
Qualifications
- Current valid and unencumbered RN or LPN license.
- Completed State-required nursing training courses.

- 1-2 years’ experience required; 3+ years preferred.
- Supervisory/management experience is strongly preferred.
