Healthcare Associate Attorney
About the role
We are seeking an associate with 3-7 years of experience to join our Healthcare Group in our San Francisco, Sacramento, San Diego, Los Angeles, or Orange County offices. This role focuses on representing hospital medical staffs and peer review bodies across California, with an emphasis on patient safety, medical staff governance, credentialing, regulatory compliance and related litigation.

- Excellent research and writing skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work carefully with complex facts, statutes, bylaws, policies and procedural requirements
- Background in healthcare regulatory work, litigation, administrative law, employment law, professional licensing or complex counseling is encouraged
- Prior experience with medical staff law, peer review, credentialing or hospital governance is welcome but not required
Requirements
- Admission to the State Bar of California is required
- Salary range: $200,000 to $260,000 annually
- Annual Billable Hours Expectation: 1,850 (which includes up to 100 hours of approved pro bono work)

The ideal candidate will have excellent research and writing skills as well as strong attention to detail and the ability to work carefully with complex facts, statutes, bylaws, policies and procedural requirements. Candidates with backgrounds in healthcare regulatory work, litigation, administrative law, employment law, professional licensing or complex counseling are encouraged to apply. Prior experience with medical staff law, peer review, credentialing or hospital governance is welcome but not required. Admission to the State Bar of California is required.

Benefits
Various annual bonuses including a bonus of 15% of base compensation should the candidate meet Nossaman's 1,850 annual billable hours expectation.
