Healthcare & Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney

About the role

Seeking an attorney to join a Healthcare & Long-Term Care Litigation Practice Group. The ideal candidate is admitted to practice in California with 1-7 years of experience representing healthcare providers in courts and administrative proceedings, preferably defending medical malpractice cases.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and responding to discovery and pleadings
• Arguing motions in court
• Interviewing witnesses and taking/defending depositions
• Preparing cases for trial

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in California
• 1-7 years of experience representing healthcare providers in courts and administrative proceedings
• Experience defending medical malpractice cases (preferred)

Skills

• Strong writing and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience in healthcare law is preferred but not required; openness to talented litigators from other areas
