Responsibilities
- Focus on the health care industry, handling corporate transactional and M&A work with a regulatory lens.
- Draft and negotiate asset, stock, merger, employment, escrow, and other agreements typical in M&A transactions.
- Address applicable regulatory issues such as Stark law, fraud/abuse, and other health care regulations.
- Exhibit strong legal and practical problem-solving skills, oral presentation, and drafting ability.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment on a broad range of business transactions.
- Develop client relations and contribute to high-impact projects from day one.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong drafting skills.
- Corporate transactional/M&A and health care regulatory experience.
- Preferred: Prior M&A experience on both the buyer and seller side.
- Familiarity with regulatory issues in M&A transactions (e.g., Stark, fraud/abuse).
- Interest in working in the health care industry.
- Desire to work in a team environment and seek opportunities for growth.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $275,000 per year. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, licensure or certification, market factors, and firm factors. Successful candidates are also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
