About the role

We are seeking a Healthcare Front Desk Receptionist to join a growing specialty healthcare practice. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with healthcare administrative experience who are looking to grow their career within a supportive organization that invests heavily in training and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Verify insurance coverage, referral information, and patient demographics
  • Complete and maintain accurate patient registration records
  • Schedule, coordinate, confirm, and reschedule appointments
  • Manage high-volume incoming calls through a multi-line phone system
  • Answer patient inquiries and route calls appropriately
  • Relay messages to providers and healthcare staff
  • Absorb urgent medication refill requests and medical records requests
  • Post payments, collect co-pays, and maintain balanced daily batches
  • Manage scheduling for multiple physicians and advanced practice providers
  • Utilize EMR systems to review patient information and coordinate care

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of healthcare front office, medical reception, or healthcare administrative experience
  • Dental office experience may also be considered
  • Experience using an EMR/EHR system
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a multi-line phone system
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a busy clinic environment
  • Desire to learn, grow, and build a long-term healthcare career

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Epic EMR
  • Previous experience with insurance verification, patient scheduling, or patient registration
  • Medical specialty clinic experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a high-energy healthcare setting and wants to make a positive impact on each patient's experience. You'll be the first person patients interact with when they arrive, working in a busy and fast-paced clinic environment, collaborating with providers, clinical staff, and fellow administrative professionals, and managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Dress Code

Dress Code: Black scrubs or business professional attire (scrubs must be provided by the employee).

Schedule

Full-time, onsite position
8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
