About the role
We are a fast-paced and high-demand non-profit program that depends on every position to help our centers function smoothly. You will gain diverse experience working with an at-risk population. Cross-training is available and expected for all positions.
Responsibilities
- Complete health, dental, mental health, and nutrition screenings within the required timeline.
- Maintain positive relationships with parents and support parents as they complete required immunizations and other medical and dental follow-up procedures for their children.
- Maintain first aid and pediatric CPR certification and provide first aid when necessary.
- Promote health and safety practices within the program by implementing and monitoring health and hygiene practices in classrooms and the center.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, working towards a health credential, or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), to be completed within two years of hire (required)
- Associate's degree, LPN, RPN (preferred)
- Experience working with young children (required)
- Experience in the health and nutrition field
- 2+ years experience with children and families (preferred)
- 2+ years experience with health and nutrition (preferred)
The successful candidate will be: compassionate, organized, flexible, a good communicator, a team player
Physical abilities
Must be able to lift 30 pounds independently without assistance
