Health Services Manager - Primary Care at Fremont
UW Medicine Primary Care at Fremont has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time, day-shift Health Services Manager. Fremont is known as "The Center of the Universe," offering a primary care clinic for families at any stage of life. UW Medicine board-certified providers deliver a complete spectrum of primary care services five days a week, including family medicine with behavioral health, travel medicine, nutrition services, reproductive health, and sports medicine.
About the role
In partnership with the Clinic Chief, you will provide operational oversight and administrative management for the Primary Care Clinic. Key responsibilities include hiring, supervising, and mentoring clinic staff, implementing programs to meet specific patient care needs, and continually improving clinic operations and efficiency. You will also work with the Assistant Director to prepare and manage financial reports and budgets, and establish an operating environment that ensures effective, efficient, and safe patient care practices while promoting UW Medicine's "Patients Are First" Initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Direct the activities of staff within the clinic, planning and scheduling work to ensure adequate staffing, proper distribution of assignments, and appropriate space and facilities.
- Ensure employees understand their responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities.
- Promote the retention of quality staff through orientation, evaluation, feedback, continuing education, competency standards, and formal disciplinary processes.
- Mentor and conduct rounds with all employees.
- Implement programs, systems, and services that support UWNC policy and strategy decisions; monitor performance against goals and take corrective action as needed.
- Partner with the Clinic Chief and Assistant Director to develop and implement annual capital and operating budgets; monitor and report monthly on revenues, expenditures (including staffing, capital, and supply expenses).
- Promptly resolve patient complaints and concerns regarding care and service while maintaining high patient satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of progressive supervisory and management experience with budgetary responsibility.
- Demonstrated management/leadership and program management skills.
- Knowledge of the ambulatory care environment and healthcare trends.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial, quality, and clinical service issues.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.

Pay
Annual pay range: $111,600.00 – $126,000.00.
