Health Services Director Memory Care

About the role

The Health Services Director (RN, LVN, or LPN) oversees the Health Services Department for the Summer Wood Alzheimer's Special Care community in Moses Lake, WA. The position offers up to $3,000 in relocation reimbursement and qualifies for Performance Based Bonus Programs.

Responsibilities

• Implements interim service plans in partnership with the Resident Care Coordinator
• Provides oversight and required documentation for third-party providers for coordination of care
• Conducts routine audits amongst other departments
• Ensures compliance with state, federal, and industry regulations
• Maintains a monthly budget for the Health Services department
• Manages full staff responsibilities for healthcare staff including hiring, training, performance reviews, counseling, and discharge
• Ensures compliance with clinical budget in all aspects: staffing and supplies
• Works as manager of the day
• Completes delegation training, assessments, and documentation per state guidelines
• Assists with tracking and recording incident reports
• Performs on-call clinical support as needed

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to appropriately delegate responsibility with necessary authority without relinquishing overall responsibility and accountability for the delegated task
• Demonstrated ability to identify problems in a timely manner, develop effective resolutions to those problems, and ensure implementation of the proposed resolution, confirm results, and revise as necessary
• Appropriate nursing licensure in the state of Washington (i.e., Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), etc.)
• Proficiency in English
• Experience in clinical nursing practice or long-term care administration preferred but not required
• New grads welcome
• Current state-specific driver's license and appropriate driving record
• Able to easily lift and carry 50 lbs
