About the role
The Memory Care Director oversees the daily operations of the Memory Care Neighborhood, plans and implements successful programming, and ensures the neighborhood meets Arbor standards for Memory Care. They lead the neighborhood alongside the clinical leader, providing competent and compassionate care, dementia training, and alignment with Arbor standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver competent and compassionate care to all residents alongside the clinical leader of the neighborhood
- Adequately train all staff in dementia care
- Ensure excellent employee retention
- Align programming, dining, and environment with Arbor standards
- Communicate effectively and provide training and coaching on the latest care approaches
- Foster a strong focus on customer service and resident/family relations
Requirements
- Preferably an LPN or CDP with 1 year minimum experience caring for residents with dementia
- Preferred management experience
