Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series - Family Medicine/Sports Medicine
Position Overview
Salary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Family Medicine ranging from $237,500- $275,500. The posted UC salary scales set the base pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
Duties and Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series
- Teach fellows, residents, and medical students
- Provide patient care
- Demonstrate professional competency and activity
- Contribute to scholarly activities
- Provide public and University service
Desired Skills
- Procedural competency (musculoskeletal injections/procedures, sports ultrasound, family medicine ambulatory procedures)
- Team physician and event coverage experience
- Leadership experience
- Interest in scholarly activities
- Proficiency in Spanish, Vietnamese, or Korean
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Completed Family Medicine residency and Sports Medicine fellowship or currently in a Sports Medicine fellowship
- Eligible for licensure by the Medical Board of California
- American Board of Family Medicine and Sports Medicine Board Certification or eligibility
- Demonstrated capabilities for teaching, professional service and/or research suitable to the HS Clinical Professor series
- Leadership skills in academic medicine to mentor fellows, residents, and faculty interested in developing Family Medicine-focused scholarly projects
