Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series - Family Medicine
Position Overview
Salary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Family Medicine ranging from $237,500- $275,500. The posted UC salary scales set the base pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The UC Irvine Department of Family Medicine anticipates openings for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Family Medicine, School of Medicine, at the University of California, Irvine. We are seeking qualified individuals who are excellent clinicians with a strong commitment to medical education. The position will be offered in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level. This position would have primary care practice at UCI's Federally Qualified Health Centers.
DUTIES
- Provide patient care to an FQHC population
- Fulfill teaching and academic requirements for promotion
- Teach fellows, residents, and medical students during clinical activities as well as primary care related didactics
REQUIREMENTS
- M.D., D.O. or M.D./Ph.D./MPH. from an accredited institution with appropriate clinical training and experience
- Have current or applied for California Medical License
- Board-Certified in Family Medicine
- Demonstrated capabilities for teaching, professional service and/or research suitable to the HS Clinical Professor series
