Family Medicine Clinical Research - Associate Professor/Professor

About the role

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) seeks applicants for a full-time, Clinician Investigator or Traditional track position at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of research collaborations, publications, and a strong desire to further their academic career and advance science and education in the fields of family and community medicine.

Responsibilities

• Support departmental goals to increase research productivity through collaborations with Center for Healthy Communities and Research faculty and staff, and engaging clinical faculty and residents.
• Maintain an independent and externally funded research portfolio.
• Support multidisciplinary research teams in federal funding applications.
• Develop and maintain an active program of independent and collaborative research pertinent to the research priorities of the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Department of Family and Community Medicine, including analyses related to the delivery, conduct, or outcomes of primary care, population health, or programs to optimize health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
• Provide full-scope of family medicine care to both inpatients and outpatients.
• Precept residents on both the inpatient and outpatient services and obstetrics.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chair or Chair-designate.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Family Medicine.
• Additional Research Training preferred.
• State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin.
