About the role
The University of California, Irvine, Department of Neurological Surgery seeks a qualified candidate for a full-time faculty position in the non-tenure track Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series - Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank.
Responsibilities
- Engage in scholarly or creative activity supporting clinical teaching and professional and service activities.
- Contribute to the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and Ambulatory Care building, and the Joe C. Wen & Family Center for Advanced Care.
- Teach and train medical students and residents at UCI School of Medicine and affiliated hospitals.
- Participate in the UCI Health - Irvine and UCI Health - Orange medical campuses, which include a seven-story, 144-bed general acute care hospital, a Level I trauma center, and a Level II pediatric trauma center.
- Collaborate with UCI Health Community Network, which comprises four integrated hospitals and associated ambulatory sites.
Requirements
- Held MD, DO, or MD/PhD or equivalent degree.
- Unrestricted medical license from the Medical Board of California.
- Graduated from an ACGME accredited residency training program in Neurological Surgery.
- Board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS).
- Experience and fellowship training in skull base/neuro-oncology (post-residency or enfolded fellowship training).
