Position Responsibilities

  • Maintains compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Identifies and addresses workplace hazards, including chemical and biological dangers, ergonomic challenges, and environmental factors.
  • Conducts routine site-wide inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Evaluates proposed changes to processes and identifies potential safety concerns, recommending appropriate safeguards.
  • Ensures contractor personnel adhere to MP Materials' policies and safety requirements.
  • Assists in the development, implementation, and updating of Site Wide Inspection (SWI) programs.
  • Provides guidance and conducts audits to ensure the effectiveness of safety training and procedures.
  • Develops and conducts safety training sessions for all shifts.
  • Coordinates inspections by regulatory agencies and ensures deficiencies are corrected.
  • Leads investigations into accidents and incidents, ensuring completeness and implementing corrective actions.
  • Supports field activities by conducting inspections and audits, and providing training on hazard recognition, unsafe acts and conditions, and regulatory compliance with OSHA and EPA.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in a Health and Safety role.
  • OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Certified First Aid/CPR/AED Trainer.
