Position Responsibilities
- Maintains compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Identifies and addresses workplace hazards, including chemical and biological dangers, ergonomic challenges, and environmental factors.
- Conducts routine site-wide inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Evaluates proposed changes to processes and identifies potential safety concerns, recommending appropriate safeguards.
- Ensures contractor personnel adhere to MP Materials' policies and safety requirements.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and updating of Site Wide Inspection (SWI) programs.
- Provides guidance and conducts audits to ensure the effectiveness of safety training and procedures.
- Develops and conducts safety training sessions for all shifts.
- Coordinates inspections by regulatory agencies and ensures deficiencies are corrected.
- Leads investigations into accidents and incidents, ensuring completeness and implementing corrective actions.
- Supports field activities by conducting inspections and audits, and providing training on hazard recognition, unsafe acts and conditions, and regulatory compliance with OSHA and EPA.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in a Health and Safety role.
- OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certification.
- Certified First Aid/CPR/AED Trainer.
