About the role

As a Health & Safety Specialist at Compliance Management International (CMI), you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients maintain high standards of health and safety. You will be responsible for conducting audits, developing and implementing safety programs, and providing guidance on regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough audits of client facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Provide regular training sessions to employees on health and safety best practices.
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents to prevent recurrence and improve safety protocols.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the EHS sector.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The typical work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
