Responsibilities

  • Aid in the administration and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) for annual safety training assignments and completion tracking.
  • Oversee one or more site-wide health and safety programs and serve as a champion of the workplace safety system.
  • Deliver safety training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Ensure effective hazard identification, risk mitigation, and corrective actions for plant operations and office areas.
  • Conduct daily line walks to verify Health & Safety practices are being followed and identify at-risk behaviors, unsafe conditions, faulty equipment, or policy non-compliance.
  • Communicate safety concerns, incidents, and corrective actions to department leadership in a timely manner.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
  • Conduct new equipment safety reviews, machine risk assessments, and ergonomic evaluations.
  • Aid in emergency response planning, drills, critiques, and readiness activities.
  • Support new hire orientation, contractor safety onboarding, and other Health & Safety training topics.
  • Aid in workplace compliance evaluations related to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform job site audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
  • Maintain safety records, training documentation, and audit reports.
  • Aid in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to reduce workplace risk.
  • Maintain cleanliness at the worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field required; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Korean preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety principles, hazard recognition, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience evaluating, implementing, and improving Health & Safety programs in a manufacturing or general industry environment.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience working with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and applicable state/local regulations and requirements.
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working in a collaborative team setting.
  • Experience delivering training and supporting employee engagement initiatives preferred.
