Grant funded position. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required; visa sponsorship is not available. Travel up to 25% of the time will be required. Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location and be located in or willing to relocate to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts prior to hire. Hybrid work schedule available after approximately six weeks, subject to performance and operational needs.

About the role

Join Health Research, Inc. (HRI) in advancing public health initiatives through innovative partnerships with the New York State Department of Health (DOH), Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (RPCCC), and other health-related entities. This role focuses on contract management for federally and/or state-funded supportive services for persons living with HIV, including legal services, benefits counseling, case management, health education, medical transportation, housing, food, and nutrition services for people aging with HIV.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts for HIV supportive services programs.
  • Assess provider performance and ensure compliance with program work plans, standards, and goals.
  • Negotiate contracts and conduct site visits and program monitoring.
  • Review monthly/quarterly narrative reports and monthly data reports.
  • Provide technical assistance to providers as needed.
  • Review and approve budget modifications and vouchers.
  • Prepare narrative and statistical reports.
  • Participate in team meetings, Quality Improvement, and work groups.
  • Contribute to competitive procurement reviews and program planning/development.
  • Complete writing assignments and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of experience in administration of personnel, fiscal, or operational activities; OR
  • Associate’s degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR
  • Seven years of such experience.
  • At least one year of experience must include supervision of staff and/or program management.
  • A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience providing technical assistance to health and human service providers.
  • One year of experience working with relevant communities and groups.
  • Three years of experience working with an HIV service provider or in an HIV-focused program.
  • One year of grant management experience.
  • Three years of program coordination or management experience.

Pay

Annual salary: $90,320. Positions in New York City, Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk, or Westchester Counties receive a $4,000 annual downstate adjustment (pro-rated for part-time).
