Health Planner 2
About the role
We are seeking a Health Planner II to join our Architecture practice at HDR. You will contribute to the design and delivery of spaces and experiences that advance community well-being around the world.
Responsibilities
- Provide planning, design and coordination support on projects
- Engage in problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and visualization to create accurate and detailed drawings
- Prepare drawings and specification documents
- Research, plan, design and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials
- Understand healthcare trends
- Assist the lead Health Planner in the preparation of presentation drawings, diagrams and narratives
- Aid in the coordination of all disciplines related to the building design and health planning

- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- Master's degree in Architecture
- Strong computer skills (AutoCAD, REVIT, Rhino, MS Office, Blue Beam)
- Architectural registration
- A minimum of 5 years of experience within the healthcare architecture field, with 3 years exclusively as a health planner
- Advanced credentials desired (e.g. ACHA, LEED, EDAC, etc.)
- Willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Architecture

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field
- A minimum of 3 years experience in A/E industry
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, prints, drawings and models
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and flexible
- Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction of buildings
