The incumbent in this position is assigned responsibilities related to preparing, classifying, and abstracting medical reports in the medical records unit.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing medical records for completeness and accuracy and referring incomplete or inaccurate reports to appropriate staff for correction
• Preparing statistical, case, and other types of reports
• Preparing materials and forms and gathering all pertinent information and data for admissions and discharges
