Health Information Technician 2
About the role
The UW Medicine Enterprise Revenue Cycle (ERC) is seeking a HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNICIAN 2 to join their team. The position is 100% FTE, 100% onsite at Sandpoint, working weekdays from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Utilize RightFax for faxes, printing patient letters, billing records, and medical records in Epic, and shared drive
- Performs day-to-day office operations activities including receiving, sorting, and preparing incoming and outgoing ERC mail
- Prepares and prints patient medical records and billing records for Release of Information and Patient Financial Services for mailing
- Tracks and updates release status in Epic comments for printing and mailing patient medical records and billing records
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent including two years’ experience with medical records, or, equivalent education and experience
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration
Departmental Desired Skills
- Knowledge of Epic or Cerner applications
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of medical terminology

Pay Range: Minimum $21.63 hourly, maximum $27.44 hourly. Benefits available at this link. Shift: First Shift (United States of America). Temporary or Regular: Regular position. FTE (Full-Time Equivalent): 100.00%
