About the role

Neighborhood Healthcare PACE is a managed medical plan serving over 500k medical, dental, and behavioral health visits annually. Our PACE program is designed to keep seniors healthy and happy at home, surrounded by their families and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Tracks medical records and serves as a subject matter expert for electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Responds and coordinates with departments regarding requests for system support
  • Processes and scans reports from charts into EMRs in permanent file area
  • Releases records according to confidentiality guidelines
  • Maintains control of participant clinical and non-clinical records
  • Schedules: Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm

Requirements

  • High school/GED required
  • One year of experience working with elderly populations required
  • Six months of medical records experience required
  • Medical compliance, ethics, patient confidentiality, and administration training preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire and must be maintained as a condition of employment

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: High school/GED required, One year of experience working with elderly populations required, Six months of medical records experience required
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledgeable about and experience with providing care for geriatric patients, Ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills to resolve patient information issues, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, Excellent planning and organizational ability, Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/carry 10 lbs/weight, Ability to stand for long periods of time

Pay

$22.88 to $32.04 per hour, depending on experience.
