Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize daily workloads and assignments for analytics and digital health team members.
- Develop and implement enterprise data analytics strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
- Oversee the design, development, validation, and maintenance of dashboards and performance metrics.
- Lead initiatives to enhance data governance, data quality, and reporting standardization.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to define measurable outcomes.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements and ensure complete reporting accuracy and compliance.
- Identify opportunities to leverage analytics to improve health equity and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the integration of Electronic Health Record (EHR) data with enterprise data warehouses.
- Provide strategic guidance on digital health initiatives, including patient engagement and telehealth analytics.
- Prepare cost estimates and monitor expenditures within approved budgets.
- Represent the Health IT Division in governance committees and executive workgroups.
- Build and maintain collaborative working relationships across departments and community partners.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in public health, healthcare administration, data science, statistics, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare analytics, healthcare IT, digital health, or performance reporting.
- 3 to 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience managing or overseeing data analysts or technical staff.
- Demonstrated experience selecting, supervising, training, and evaluating professional and technical staff in analytics or digital health environments.
- Prior experience leading healthcare data analytics initiatives, including dashboard development, enterprise reporting, and translating complex datasets into actionable insights.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise analytics strategies supporting quality improvement and regulatory reporting for public health or safety-net healthcare systems.
- Strong experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) data and enterprise reporting tools.
- Experience with EHR data interoperability with other healthcare data sources (such as assignment files, remittance files, and eligibility files) connected on common keys.
- Comprehensive understanding of healthcare quality measures, public health reporting requirements, and safety-net performance indicators (including CA Public Hospital reporting, HCAI reports, cost reports, CMS, and DHCS audit requests).
- Solid knowledge of data governance, data warehousing concepts, privacy standards, and healthcare compliance regulations.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in a related field (may substitute for 1 year of required experience).
- Prior experience working within a government healthcare setting.
- Experience with Epic EHR architecture, including EPIC HB, PB, and Retail Pharmacy modules for internal and external reporting.
Additional Details
- Work Mode: Hybrid arrangement requiring at least 6 days per month on-site.
- Location Preference: Preferred within the San Francisco Bay Area, CA.
- Equipment: Client-provided laptop and monitor.
- Reimbursement: Travel expenses are not reimbursable.
