It all started in sunny San Diego, California in 2004 when a visionary engineer, Fred Luddy, saw the potential to transform how we work. Today, ServiceNow stands as a global market leader, bringing innovative AI-enhanced technology to over 8,100 customers, including 85% of the Fortune 500®. Our intelligent cloud-based platform seamlessly connects people, systems, and processes to empower organizations to find smarter, faster, and better ways to work.

About the role

The Director, Data Strategy & Services owns the data strategy that directly enables our marketing operations and GTM velocity. You'll lead the product roadmap for our Customer Data Platform (CDP), identity graph, and the governed, real-time data infrastructure that powers personalization, attribution, and AI-driven revenue decisions across Marketo, Adobe AEM, Demandbase, and our analytics stack. This is a high-impact product leadership role where your decisions cascade across a 100+ person GTM organization—directly influencing campaign velocity, personalization depth, and revenue team enablement. You'll translate complex data challenges into simple, usable capabilities that let marketing and sales move faster.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for CDP, identity resolution, and data enrichment—prioritizing what marketing operations and revenue teams need to execute at scale
  • Lead identity graph expansion with hands-on input into matching logic, deterministic/probabilistic models, and cross-channel stitching that powers real-time personalization
  • Drive data quality as a competitive advantage—define and enforce SLOs (identity match rate, freshness, completeness) that directly impact campaign performance and attribution accuracy
  • Enable AI/ML at scale—ensure your data pipelines and feature engineering support predictive scoring, journey propensity, and churn models that drive GTM decisions
  • Govern without gating—architect privacy and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, emerging US laws) that protect the business while enabling innovation and real-time activation
  • Set data integration standards that let IT, Data Engineering, and downstream teams move confidently—defining latency targets, SLAs, and integration patterns that scale

Qualifications

  • You've led data strategy, MarTech operations, or CDP implementation in a B2B SaaS environment and know what "good" looks like operationally
  • You've managed product roadmaps for data capabilities with multiple stakeholder groups pulling in different directions—and found elegant ways to prioritize
  • You're fluent in modern GTM stacks: CDP (Adobe, Salesforce, Treasure Data), CRM (Salesforce, Dynamics), MAP (Marketo, HubSpot), ABM (Demandbase), and analytics (CJA, Snowflake)
  • You understand identity resolution challenges (deterministic matching, probabilistic modeling, cross-channel stitching) and can evaluate or guide technical solutions
  • You've shipped data governance frameworks that actually worked—balancing security/compliance with the speed marketing needs
  • You can translate "we need a unified identity graph" into concrete milestones, measurable outcomes, and quarterly execution plans
  • You're comfortable in the room with C-level GTM leaders, IT architects, and data engineers—and can speak credibly to all three
  • You've supported AI/ML use cases in GTM (churn models, propensity scoring, audience segmentation)
  • Highly Preferred: experience with Adobe suite, Kafka or Snowflake

Pay

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $173,300 - $238,300, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.

Benefits

  • Health plans, including flexible spending accounts
  • 401(k) Plan with company match
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
  • Matching donations
  • Flexible time away plan and family leave programs
