About the role

Elica Health Centers is dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to underserved communities. We offer a variety of programs including Community Health Clinics, Health on Wheels, and a Resource Center.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient flow and clinic operations
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations
  • Support, train, mentor, and supervise staff, volunteers, and students
  • Ensure providers are supported by qualified clinical personnel and staff practice within their scope
  • Manage clinical and office materials, supplies, equipment, and EHR systems
  • Maintain accurate payroll, staff schedules, provider templates, and timecards
  • Coordinate clinical duties to maintain high-quality patient care and positive employee engagement
  • Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and follow-up calls
  • Prepare the clinic for audits and ensure readiness of equipment, supplies, and staff training/certifications
  • Conduct staff meetings, check-ins, and performance reviews; provide coaching as needed
  • Oversee special programs (EWC, CHDP) and ensure required documentation and compliance
  • Represent the organization in the community and participate in organizational initiatives and projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including backup coverage for staff positions as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge in healthcare operations and technologies
  • Excellence in conflict management and problem solving
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Ability to maintain records and files
  • Knowledge of modern office equipment
  • Ability to operate a personal computer
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Training and HIPAA knowledge is a must

Additional Requirements

  • Must have a current and valid California driver’s license and the ability to provide proof of personal auto insurance on the vehicle driven during working hours
  • If selected for an employment opportunity with Elica Health Centers, external hires must provide proof of immunizations (Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella & Tetanus), tuberculosis clearance, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination status* prior to their scheduled start date

Compensation

The compensation range listed reflects Elica’s good-faith estimate of the anticipated hiring range for this position in accordance with California pay transparency requirements. Final compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, and qualifications.
