Health Career Coordinator/Student Support Specialsit

About the role

This position is based in Hazard, Kentucky, and will serve the Southeast Kentucky AHEC region. This is a grant funded position that ends 04/30/2027 with an extension to 2029.

Responsibilities

• Recruits students to participate in health careers programming.
• Provides general guidance to students who need help navigating resources such as academic support services, mentoring and career counseling programs, mental and physical health care services, and financial management services.
• Plans and provides health careers programming for middle, high, and post-secondary students within the Southeast Kentucky service region.
• Develops partnerships with public and private schools to carry out identified programming.
• Evaluates programming for effectiveness and quality.
• Participates in scheduled meetings that shall include local, statewide, and national travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience.

Pay

$37,944.00 per year.
