About the Role
Christ the King Jesuit College Prep, a Catholic school on Chicago’s West Side and a member of the Cristo Rey Network, is seeking a committed individual to serve as the Student Health Coordinator (Part-Time). This position offers an opportunity to work directly with students, staff, and the wider school community, supporting the mission of providing a transformative, college-preparatory education. The Student Health Coordinator functions as a Christian health resource and educator for CTK students, families, and faculty, promoting wellness and preventing accidents and diseases among students.
Responsibilities
- Triage and care for acutely and chronically ill students.
- Serve as the point of parent contact for ill students.
- Maintain accurate student health records.
- Submit health and dental data reports to ISBE.
- Collaborate with CWSP and the Athletic Department to maintain compliance with sponsor, state, and Illinois High School Association (IHSA) health regulations.
- Coordinate with external partners for community health resources.
- Coordinate with mobile van and external partners for free physicals, immunizations, and dental screenings.
- Collaborate with Young Hearts for Life for Cardiac Screening Program.
- Provide Christian-based health education to CTK individuals and families.
- Educate CTK families about available community, state, and federal health resources including health insurance programs and primary care health clinics.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, required.
- Passion for education and the mission of Christ the King Jesuit College Prep, including CTK’s Jesuit Catholic identity and the model of the Cristo Rey Network.
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with students, faculty, parents, and community members.
- Collaborative spirit and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Cultural competence in addressing complex issues and a demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusion, equity, diversity, and accessibility.
Pay
$19 - 21 per hour
Supervision
Position reports to the Principal.
