About the role
Thompson Coburn LLP’s corporate health care practice area is seeking an associate or counsel. The position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of corporate transactions and regulatory matters for health care organizations, including health care systems, hospitals, health insurance companies, long term care providers, physician practices and other health care-related businesses.
Responsibilities
- Work on a wide variety of corporate transactions and regulatory matters for health care organizations
- Experience working on regulatory and corporate transactional matters in the health care industry
- In-depth understanding of fraud and abuse, Stark, Medicare reimbursement, hospital-physician relationships, provider-payor relationships and HIPAA
- Strong writing, communication, and client service skills
- Open to part-time candidates
Requirements
- Currently licensed to practice law in Illinois
Qualifications
5+ years of experience working on regulatory and corporate transactional matters in the health care industry and an in-depth understanding of fraud and abuse, Stark, Medicare reimbursement, hospital-physician relationships, provider-payor relationships and HIPAA.
Skills
Strong writing, communication, and client service skills.

Pay
The salary range for this position in our Chicago office is $225,000-$290,000. Actual salary will vary and may be above or below the range based on relevant skills, training, and other job-related factors.
