About the Role

The University of the Philippines Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO) oversees the commercialization of innovations in health and wellness, including the following key technologies:

• CHITS (Community Health Information Tracking System) – An electronic medical record system designed for use by government health facilities.
• Hemoxyther – A herbal supplement for patients with iron deficiency anemia and other related hematological disorders.
• Lab in A Mug – Coming soon.
• Lagundi for Cough and Asthma – Coming soon.
• Leptovax – A range of vaccines for active immunization against Leptospirosis.
• Newborn Hearing Screening (RA 9709) – An Act establishing a universal newborn hearing screening program for the prevention, early diagnosis, and intervention of hearing loss.
• Newborn Screening Act (RA 9288) – An Act promulgating a comprehensive policy and national system for newborn screening.
• Ornathrex – Coming soon.
• Personalized Treatment for Cardiovascular Disease – Personalized treatment for heart and vascular diseases through pharmacogenetics, leading to better treatment response and reduced healthcare costs.
• Rare Disease Act (RA 10747) – An Act promulgating a comprehensive policy addressing the needs of persons with rare diseases.
• RxBox – A multi-component medical program incorporating a biomedical device, electronic medical record system, and telemedicine training, designed to improve access to life-saving healthcare services in isolated and disadvantaged communities.
• Sambong Tablet – A clinically proven herbal medicine that dissolves kidney stones and reduces the size and number of urinary tract stones.
• Sin Tax Law (RA 10351) – An Act restructuring the excise tax on alcohol and tobacco products.
