Position Summary
Join the Walmart Health & Wellness legal team as a Counsel! We are seeking a motivated and curious attorney to support business lines that operate at the intersection of health and retail, including “food as medicine” initiatives, clinical research, and food benefits.
What you'll do
- Draft, review, and negotiate healthcare and benefits-related agreements to support procurement efforts, business transactions, and strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain standard contract templates, playbooks, and guidelines to streamline the processes and promote consistency.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to business partners, ensuring informed decision-making aligned with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., compliance, privacy, financial services, and intellectual property) to assess and manage legal risk.

What you'll bring
- 4+ years of relevant legal experience
- Strong background in health care and/or food benefits law
- Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts
- Experience and comfort working within cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of integrity and ethical conduct
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state
- Commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and fostering a culture of compliance and accountability

- The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
- Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school and 4 years’ experience in law.
- Licence to practice law in at least one state.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leading cross-functional teams
