Position Summary

Join the Walmart Health & Wellness legal team as a Counsel! We are seeking a motivated and curious attorney to support business lines that operate at the intersection of health and retail, including “food as medicine” initiatives, clinical research, and food benefits.

What you'll do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate healthcare and benefits-related agreements to support procurement efforts, business transactions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain standard contract templates, playbooks, and guidelines to streamline the processes and promote consistency.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to business partners, ensuring informed decision-making aligned with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., compliance, privacy, financial services, and intellectual property) to assess and manage legal risk.

What you'll bring

  • 4+ years of relevant legal experience
  • Strong background in health care and/or food benefits law
  • Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts
  • Experience and comfort working within cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of integrity and ethical conduct
  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state
  • Commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and fostering a culture of compliance and accountability

  • The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Minimum Qualifications

  • Law degree from an accredited law school and 4 years’ experience in law.
  • Licence to practice law in at least one state.

  • Leading cross-functional teams
