Health and Safety Technician I

Responsibilities

• Aid in and support the identification, assessment, reporting and correction of workplace environmental factors, unsafe conditions and behaviors at assigned site.
• Aid site management in complying with Company, OSHA, MSHA and other regulations and standards.
• Aid in performing risk assessments, analyses of operational procedures, facility design, equipment and material, audits, and incident investigations.
• Aid in the development and recommendation of appropriate remedial action in response to unsafe conditions or behavior.
• Develop a current knowledge of Company, OSHA, MSHA and other regulations and standards.
• Aid site management in developing Health & Safety plans and remedial actions.
• Assist with drafting appropriate reports and presentations for management.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• One (1) year of working experience.
• Prioritization of safety in the workplace.
• Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, EMT certificate, paramedic certificate, and previous mine or technical rescue experience.

Benefits

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $24.50 - $33.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.

Pay

This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
