Health and Safety Technician I

Responsibilities
- Aid in and support the identification, assessment, reporting and correction of workplace environmental factors, unsafe conditions and behaviors at assigned site.
- Aid site management in complying with Company, OSHA, MSHA and other regulations and standards.
- Aid in performing risk assessments, analyses of operational procedures, facility design, equipment and material, audits, and incident investigations.
- Aid in the development and recommendation of appropriate remedial action in response to unsafe conditions or behavior.
- Develop a current knowledge of Company, OSHA, MSHA and other regulations and standards.
- Aid site management in developing Health & Safety plans and remedial actions.
- Assist with drafting appropriate reports and presentations for management.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- One (1) year of working experience.
- Prioritization of safety in the workplace.
- Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, EMT certificate, paramedic certificate, and previous mine or technical rescue experience.

Benefits
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $24.50 - $33.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.

Pay
