About the role
The Head Start Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a Head Start program, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and providing a nurturing environment for children and families.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of the Head Start program curriculum and ensure all activities align with federal guidelines.
- Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for children and staff.
- Collaborate with parents and community members to support the educational and social development of children.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor child progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Manage staff performance and provide professional development opportunities.
- Ensure all paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- At least three years of experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of federal regulations governing Head Start programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
