Your tasks

As Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing ECC’s enterprise-wide risk management framework. Together with your team, you will ensure that risk management supports sustainable business growth, informed decision-making, and compliance within a dynamic and highly regulated environment.

In this leadership role, you will define and continuously enhance the strategic and methodological direction of ERM, overseeing the development of risk frameworks, processes, and policies. Your responsibilities will include risk strategy, risk inventory, risk-bearing capacity, capital planning, regulatory reporting, and the delivery of meaningful risk insights to senior management, committees, and regulatory stakeholders.

In addition, you will drive strategic ERM initiatives, ensure the timely implementation of new regulatory requirements, and oversee ERM-related contributions to financial statements, audits, and regulatory reviews. Working closely with business leaders, auditors, supervisory authorities, and colleagues across the EEX Group, you will build strong partnerships and foster effective collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed degree (e.g., in Economics, Mathematics, Physics, IT) or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience (approx. 5–7 years) in risk management, banking, CCP, audit, or consulting
  • Strong expertise in risk management / risk controlling with a proven track record
  • Strong analytical skills combined with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Leadership experience and a passion for developing teams
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • High level of ownership, assertiveness, and organizational skills
