Head of Technical Recruiting
About the role
The Global Head of Technical Recruiting will lead the growth of Notion's Engineering, Product, and Design organizations. This role involves partnering closely with the CTO and Co-Founder to build the global technical teams, manage a high-performing recruiting team, and serve as a strategic advisor to senior technical leaders.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the global technical recruiting strategy across Engineering, Product, Design, Data, and TPM
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of recruiters and recruiting leaders across regions
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior technical leaders, bringing market intelligence, compensation insights, and a clear point of view on talent
- Lead the adoption of AI tools, workflows, and automation across the recruiting function
- Design and continuously improve the processes, systems, and interview infrastructure that allow us to hire with speed without sacrificing bar
- Establish and own the recruiting metrics that matter and use them to drive decisions
- Partner with Storytelling to sharpen the employer value proposition and represent Notion as a destination for world-class technical talent
Requirements
This role requires 7+ years of recruiting leadership experience with a deep focus on technical hiring across engineering, product, and adjacent functions. It also demands a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing recruiting teams in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical instincts with a track record of using data to drive decisions
- Genuine AI-first orientation and fluency with modern tools
- Deep knowledge of technical compensation trends and market dynamics
- Experience designing and executing diversity recruiting programs with measurable outcomes
- Background in technical recruiting with experience closing at the executive level
- Experience leveraging AI to meaningfully change how recruiting operates

The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role's scope and complexity, and the candidate's experience and expertise. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range is $250,000 - $300,000 per year.
