The next Head of School will assume leadership at a pivotal and exciting moment in Chicago Jewish Day School's history.

About the role

Chicago Jewish Day School, founded in 2003, provides an outstanding Jewish and secular education within a multi-denominational community welcoming families from across the Jewish spectrum.

Responsibilities

• Lead the school in its mission to provide an outstanding Jewish and secular education within a multi-denominational community.
• Oversee all aspects of school operations including academics, administration, and extracurricular activities.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the educational experience and ensure the long-term sustainability of the school.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, faculty, staff, and the broader community.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in education, preferably in a Jewish day school setting.
• A proven track record of successful leadership and management.
• A deep understanding of Jewish values and traditions.
• Experience in strategic planning and implementation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
