About the role
Lawrence School is an independent, co-ed, day school serving students in grades K-12. Founded over 50 years ago, the school focuses on delivering academic excellence to Northeast Ohio students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and ADHD. Known for its unique approach, Lawrence School emphasizes social-emotional and life skills alongside academics, drawing from its expertise to ensure every student reaches their full academic potential.
Responsibilities
- Lead the school's strategic vision and ensure alignment with the mission and values of Lawrence School.
- Oversee the academic program, including curriculum development and implementation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents, faculty, and staff to foster a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the school's budget and financial operations.
- Represent the school externally through community engagement and partnerships.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably in a school serving students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and ADHD.
- A proven track record of successfully leading a school or similar organization.
- A bachelor's degree in education or a related field, along with a master's degree in education or a related field.
- Experience in managing budgets and financial operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Experience in creating and implementing innovative educational programs.
- Knowledge of best practices in teaching and learning, particularly relevant to students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and ADHD.
- Experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with parents, faculty, and staff.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The Head of School will report directly to the Board of Trustees and will have a flexible schedule to support the needs of the school and the community.
