Head of Retail

We're hiring a Head of Retail at JoySpring! Joyspring is building the next great vitamin and wellness brand and we're ready to take it into stores. We're looking for a Head of Retail to build our wholesale channel from the ground up: landing the right retail partners, growing those accounts sustainably, and turning a handful of doors into a healthy national retail presence. This is a builder's role. You won't be managing an existing program you'll be creating one. What You'll OwnRetail partner acquisition — Evaluate new doors, regions, and category opportunities, and build a real pipeline across mass retail and boutique wholesale.Profitable account growth — Own the channel strategy, launch sequencing, and assortment decisions that keep sell-through healthy on every account.Retail operations & compliance — Run EDI, onboarding, routing guides, and packaging compliance so retailers stay happy and chargebacks stay low.Cross-functional planning — Partner with Supply Chain and Finance on forecasting, inventory health, margins, and trade spend.Retail marketing & reporting — Drive trade-marketing programs that move product off shelf, and keep leadership current with monthly performance reporting. What You BringExperience negotiating with and managing major retail buyers (Target, Sprouts, Walmart, or similar) — terms, routing guides, EDI, chargebacksA track record building a wholesale channel from a small account base, from scratchWorking knowledge of trade spend, MDF, and margin managementComfort partnering with Supply Chain on demand planning and inventory allocationStrong Excel/Sheets skills and fluency with retailer and distributor vendor portalsReal relationships with buyers and the negotiation instincts to use them Ideally, you've grown a wholesale channel inside a high-growth CPG or consumer brand, with national retailers to show for it.
