About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Public Relations to join our global marketing team. This individual will oversee all aspects of our public relations strategy, manage a dedicated team of global PR professionals, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance Qualtrics' brand presence and reputation in the marketplace. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in public relations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive public relations strategy that aligns with Qualtrics' overall business objectives and enhances brand visibility, reputation, and thought leadership.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Proactively pitch stories, respond to inquiries, and secure media coverage that highlights Qualtrics’ innovations and achievements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing PR team of professionals and oversee global agency partnerships. Provide guidance, set goals, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Develop and manage crisis communication plans, proactively addressing any potential issues that may impact Qualtrics' reputation. Coordinate rapid response strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the content and marketing teams to create compelling press releases, media kits, and other communication materials that effectively convey Qualtrics’ value proposition and key messages.
- Plan and execute media events to promote thought leadership and increase media exposure for Qualtrics.
- Track and analyze PR performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior leadership on media coverage, sentiment, and impact on brand reputation.
- Work closely with executives and internal teams, including product marketing, customer success, and corporate communications, to ensure alignment on messaging and branding initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in public relations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of successful media relations and crisis management, particularly in technology and healthcare environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and present ideas clearly.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Proficient in PR analytics tools and measuring media impact.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for innovation and helping organizations leverage data to drive decision-making.

Pay
For full-time positions, the pay range is for base per year: $196,000—$257,000 USD. Base pay offered within this range may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer. Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, paid time off, a wellness reimbursement, mental health benefits, and an experience bonus.
