Head of Private Equity Partnerships
About the role
The Head of Private Equity Partnerships will build Navan’s PE channel from the ground up. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Partnerships, this role is a "0-to-1" build designed for a top-tier practitioner.
Responsibilities
Own the 0-to-1 Build: Architect the PE playbook, including fund mapping, value proposition definition, and building tracking systems, collateral, and internal processes.
Drive Tactical Deal Influence: Join forecast calls, partner with Sales teams, identify blockers, and leverage PE relationships to drive top-down influence.
Master the "Give-to-Get" Ecosystem: Build deep ties with M&A advisory firms and PE deal teams, ensuring Navan is the first call for advisory firms on carve-outs and new acquisitions.
Be the Face of Navan PE: Represent Navan at industry events and PE Operating Partner roundtables, scaling the brand within the PE community.
Operationalize the Channel: Bridge strategy and execution, creating resources, handling admin tasks, and pushing through necessary "busy work."
Prove EBITDA Value: Work with PE Operating Partners to demonstrate Navan’s impact on their Value Creation plan through cost savings and operational efficiency.
Requirements
5–8+ years of experience in Private Equity, private banking, investment banking, with a proven track record of over-performance.
Strong Rolodex within the PE ecosystem, ready to roll up sleeves and establish Navan as the standard for leading investment firms.
M&A literate, fluent in understanding carve-outs and tuck-in integrations with CFOs or Deal Partners.
High agency and presence, thriving in the messy middle of building a program while leading presentations at PE summits.
Detail-oriented, disciplined in handling administrative tasks, tracking lead flow, updating CRM data, and ensuring perfect follow-through on introductions.
In-person collaborator, comfortable working in high-energy environments and valuing in-office collaboration.
