Head of Partnerships
About the role
The Head of Partnerships is a foundational hire for XYB, a complete platform for building and running modern banks. This role is central to XYB's strategy and growth, requiring a deep understanding of the US banking ecosystem, executive-level relationships, and the ability to drive partner-led revenue.
Responsibilities
- Set the partnership strategy, define targets, and build the function behind it.
- Land transformative partnerships with major integrators, consultancies, cloud providers, and specialist fintechs.
- Own senior relationships, run cadences, and ensure partners are genuinely investing in XYB.
- Drive partner-led pipeline, work alongside sales to source, qualify, and close deals.
- Orchestrate the wider ecosystem, map marketplaces, and position XYB at the center of conversations.
- Run joint go-to-market initiatives, co-selling plays, and demand generation.
- Shape analyst coverage and brief industry voices on XYB.
- Negotiate and close partnership agreements, ensuring commercial viability and legal compliance.
- Bring partner insights into the product, representing their needs in the product roadmap and leadership table.
- Own the numbers, define what good looks like, measure honestly, and use data to inform strategy.
Requirements
You have 7+ years building partnerships, alliances, or business development for a B2B software, fintech, or banking technology company, with at least three years in a senior role. Experience working with US banks and credit unions, understanding their needs and buying processes, and a strong grasp of the US banking technology landscape are essential. You must also have experience working consultatively with clients, negotiating complex partnership agreements, and working with industry analysts.

- Experience in structuring and closing complex partnership agreements.
- Knowledge of industry analyst coverage and its impact on enterprise sales.
