Why This Role Is Important to Us

We are looking for a Head of Commercial Strategy to support our rapidly growing Americas business unit. Americas — and North America in particular — represents the largest growth market for SimCorp and is mission-critical to our ambition to lead the buy-side investment management solutions industry. In this role, you will partner closely with the regional Head of Americas to craft a market-leading commercial strategy for our buy-side target markets, spanning market positioning, sales enablement, pricing strategy, and organizational design.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Guide senior management in understanding and translating market opportunities into SimCorp's corporate vision and strategy
  • Contribute strategic insights on industry innovation and trends, including navigating the competitive landscape
  • Run strategic deep-dives on core subject areas, engaging the wider organization and leveraging your industry knowledge and perspective
  • Prepare C-suite reports on market dynamics, positioning, and intelligence on the competitive landscape
  • Contribute to thought leadership pieces in our industry that impact SimCorp's clients and community

What We Value

  • 7+ years of experience within the investment management function of an Asset Manager or a buy-side consultancy organization
  • A strong understanding of the full value chain of an Asset Management organization, its drivers, and market landscape development
  • Insight into the software landscape for investment management and the macro-trends shaping the future of the industry
  • Experience with commercial strategy, sales enablement, and commercial execution
  • Experience across the buy-side vendor system landscape is preferred, but not essential
  • An empathetic approach, and a person who thrives working closely with people
  • The ability to work on-site at our office in NYC at least 2 days per week
