About the Role

We are seeking a Director/Head of Client Service to join our Marketing and IR team at SummitTX Capital, L.P., a $3.5 bn multi-manager equity market-neutral hedge fund. SummitTX is at an exciting point in its evolution as an industry leader in the multi-manager hedge fund space. This role will enhance and support existing LP relationships and play a pivotal role in capital raising and client service, sitting at the intersection of marketing and investment management. The Head of Client Service will oversee all regular client communications and deliverables, focusing on building world-class client service infrastructure and systems to scale the firm’s operations. The ideal candidate will think commercially and strategically while being hands-on in creating and maintaining marketing and client service materials. This role reports directly to the Global Head of Marketing and Business Development for SummitTX.

Location: Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid) or New York, NY (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to consistently improve and uplift pitch books, client reports, RFPs, DDQs, and other client-facing materials.
  • Become the subject matter expert on SummitTX’s multi-manager platform, articulating the investment philosophy, process, and performance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and market demand to position SummitTX’s multi-manager platform successfully relative to peers.
  • Work with internal stakeholders (e.g., Investment Team, Risk Team) to develop insightful content, including whitepapers and performance commentary, highlighting the firm’s expertise.
  • Interact with SummitTX clients and prospects to address product-related inquiries, requests, and questions on fund structure.
  • Act as a conduit between clients/prospects and the leadership team, providing consistent feedback to Co-CIOs, Global Head of Marketing, and the broader Investment Team.
  • Manage and support investment diligence from prospects following initial calls, providing data and oversight of strategic initiatives such as side letters and ad-hoc investment agreements.
  • Improve the Investor Relations platform to be world-class, consistently uplifting reports from the CRM, collaborating with the Investment Team on data, and leveraging in-house technology to streamline processes.
  • Own and run the operational due diligence (ODD) process for prospective and existing LPs, including responding to ODD questionnaires and coordinating site visits.
  • Partner closely with Legal and Compliance on client-related matters, including drafting, negotiating, and tracking side letters, and coordinating regulatory reporting obligations to investors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CFA, or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial markets, with a background in alternative investments, consulting, or allocating for an LP.
  • Understanding of the capital raising process and the elements needed at each phase to be successful.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to compete daily to grow in your career.
