Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and ensure charging following all budget information and chart of accounts;
- Prepare, maintain & update books of accounts (Voucher, Cash book, bank book, ledger etc.);
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and yearly cash financial reports (Income expenditure reports, balance sheet, bank reconciliation, cash flow etc.);
- Preparation other on-demand reports as requested by donor;
- Maintain the records and documents for Audit facilitation;
- Cash Transfer activity management & Reporting;
- Ensure compliance of Govt. and donor rules and regulations;
- Have to follow the PRAAN and Donor’s financial guideline;
- Ensure purchase to follow standard procurement policy;
- Prepare cash call and budget variance and send to concern authority;
- Provide necessary support to project staff for smooth operation of programs and projects;
- Take care of account software, troubleshoot and fix the problem;
- Provide support to Admin Officer to prepare and ensure keeping necessary document of personnel file of staff;
- Conduct and facilitate audit;
- Vendor enlistment and relevant contract preparation;
- Supervise and verify the financial document e.g. voucher, expenditure procedures, quality of materials, etc. Arrange payments to the respective vendors;
- Initiate, develop and adapt effective internal control system;
- Maintains Administrative control records such as commitments and expenditures; initiate and process administrative action relating to travel arrangements, payments, procurements and delivery of equipment, supplies of inventories;
- Set up, classify and maintain appropriate files in the office. Ensure proper supplies of materials; manage office premises, vehicles and inventories;
Person specification
- Completed university degree (Post Graduate) from an accredited academic institution preferably in Accounting, Finance or other related fields;
- More than 3/4 years of experience in Accounting in NGO will be preferable.
- Candidate from Chartered Accounts firm will get priority.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Excel, power point, word).
- Have excellent knowledge to use computerized accounting software.
- Experienced and skilled in budget preparation; budget control, expenditure and procurement; book keeping; banking; inventory management; logistical support; VAT/Tax; financial reporting and documentation.
- Excellent command over written and oral Bangla and English with computer literacy on MS word, excel, power point and internet using.
- Ability to manage a complex and varied work load and to work under pressure – Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
