About the role
Cheverus High School, a private Catholic college preparatory school in Portland, Maine, seeks a dedicated Head Coach for Boys Varsity Lacrosse.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate leadership and passion for lacrosse coaching and/or playing.
- Lead the lacrosse coaching staff during the 2026-27 spring season.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding criminal background checks and health training.
Requirements
- Prior successful lacrosse coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
- Hold or acquire a current State of Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and fingerprinting via the DOE before employment.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of NFHS required online trainings: Concussion Management, Heat Acclimatization, Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Suicide Prevention Training, and CPR/First Aid.
- Cheverus High School provides these trainings.
Skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
