Head Coach
About the role
CamFit is a multi-studio Orangetheory Fitness franchisee dedicated to delivering a world-class fitness experience through heart rate-based interval training. As a Head Coach, you will lead the coaching team, ensure the quality of every class delivered, and develop coaches who continually improve.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a personal coaching minimum of 15 classes per week.
Deliver high-quality, high-energy OTF classes in full alignment with brand standards.
Own the quality of every class delivered in your studio, not just the ones you coach.
Monitor safety, form, heart rate zones, and member engagement across all sessions.
Every first-time member must receive a personalized intro experience before or after their first class.
Deliver a membership prescription based on each prospective member's stated goals, schedule, and lifestyle.
Track intro class completion and follow-up.
Hold yourself accountable to conversion as a performance metric, not a sales task.
Lead, manage, and develop the full coaching team.
Build and maintain the coaching schedule using MindBody Online.
Conduct regular coach check-ins, class observations, and performance feedback sessions.
Partner with the RFTM on formal evaluations, certification readiness, and development plans.
Lead onboarding and training for all new coaches.
Create regular touchpoints with members beyond class.
Model the energy and culture you want to see. The tone of the studio starts with you.
Actively recruit coaches and sales associates from within the member base.
Personally invite high-potential members to consider a role at CamFit.
Maintain an ongoing pipeline of qualified candidates.
Maintain a second-to-none cleanliness standard across all areas of the studio.
Report all repair and maintenance needs through the company's facilities ticketing system promptly.
Manage class reconciliation including attendance tracking and late cancel processing.
Manage coach payroll and timecard accuracy.
Partner with the Studio Manager on class schedule optimization, member retention, and studio KPIs.
Participate in regional calls, fitness workshops, and required leadership training.
Required Qualifications
A current nationally recognized fitness certification from an OTF-approved provider.
A current CPR/AED certification.
An OTF Coach certification or the ability to obtain one.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of physiology, biomechanics, and functional movement.
A strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
A flexible schedule availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
2-3 years of coaching experience in group fitness or personal training.
Prior team leadership or management experience.
A Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to actively demonstrate and perform all exercises throughout each class.
Ability to remain standing and vocal for the duration of a 60-minute workout.
Must be able to lift, move, and demonstrate use of all studio equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Schedule
Perform all duties on-site. Remote work is not available for this role. Flexible availability required including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Class schedule is set in advance; substitution coverage may be required.
