Head Bartender - Tavola (Full-Time) Starting at $8.00/hr, plus tips

Basic Job Function Professionally mix and serve beverages for guests and members. Will monitor and report pricing and recipe discrepancies as noted. Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Conduct monthly inventory and maintaining inventory through ordering. Use of Company Vehicle: Not designated to drive a company vehicle Tasks/Responsibilities Maintain Restaurant liquor, beer and wine stock at all timesWork with Wines & Spirits Manager to ensure an accurate wine list, both vintage & cuveeProvide staff education on new products and cocktailsOrder product through AdacoMaintain InventoryProvide cost analysis for all new cocktailsMaintain accurate pours throughout the restaurant for all spirits and winesHold staff accountable for maintaining Sea Island Beverage & Service StandardsCommunicate with Restaurant Manager and Wines & Spirits Manager regarding issues with bar staffAccurately order and record all supplies, merchandise and other itemMaintain a passing score on menu and beverage testingPromptly open and close the barMaintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storeroomPrepare fruits, garnishes and mixesProfessionally and accurately mix alcoholic beveragesAssist service staff with using the proper garnish and glass for each drinkSet up and tear down all liquor and mixes for beverage functionsCount and charge all liquor for beverage functionsPerform cashier duties as necessary and complete function sheets in proper mannerRecord drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system using guest/member cardsResponsible for all liquor at the assigned barMaintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparationTake reservations as necessaryAccountable for guest satisfaction by ensuring Sea Island’s standards are met; address guest concerns in a timely and efficient manner and implementCheck identification in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcoholAttempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by following TIPS trainingLearn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and MembersRecord and bill orders accurately into the register system and process payments using guest/member cards in accordance with accounting proceduresMaintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one’s abilityIf applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areasUphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timingUphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and proceduresReport all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediatelyAttends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvementWilling and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership Physical Requirements Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periodsIf applicable, must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levelsAbility to perform repetitive tasks with accuracyAbility to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 lbs intermittently throughout a shiftAbility to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbalMay be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards Maintain compliance with Company Resort Professional Image Policy
