Head Athletic Trainer
Job Summary
You will provide expert athletic training services to student-athletes under the direction of the team physician or by written referral from a physician, and in strict accordance with the athletic training practice act. You will also provide crucial assistance to athletic trainers employed by the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Oversight and delivery of comprehensive athletic training care, ensuring the health and safety of student-athletes.
- Guiding and supporting a team of athletic trainers, ensuring adherence to best practices, professional standards, and all regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating with head/associate athletic trainers (if applicable) to provide athletic training services to partnered school districts.
- Participating and serving as a liaison in the development, coordination, and administration of a comprehensive sports medicine program between our organization, our partners, and partnered schools.
- Administering and working in coordination with physicians regarding concussion management procedures, including baseline and post-injury neuropsychological testing for concussion management, monitoring of progressive return to play protocols with concussed athletes, return to play requirements and clearance as directed by physician or by protocol.
- Providing athletic training services for AIA sanctioned and/or contracted games to visiting athletes and communicating to visiting athletic healthcare teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited athletic training education program (Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education).
- One (1) year of experience of providing athletic training services.
- Athletic Trainer: AZ
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Possession of a Master’s degree in athletic training from an accredited athletic training education program or related field, and three (3) years of athletic trainer experience.

Pay Range
$26.76 - $39.81 /hour
